I find it appropriate to write about 9/11 since today happens to be 9/11. It has been six years since the attacks, and this took place when most of you were only nine or ten-years-old. I, on the other hand, was much older than that! I felt strongly when it happened, I still think about what an awful tragedy that was, and I fear for another one. My questions to you are: Do you feel the same? Is it difficult for you to really comprehend the magnitude of the attacks since you were so young when it happened? Has your view on that day changed since you’ve grown a bit older?
Answer the questions, add some of your own opinions in, and make it an interesting and insightful post. I’m looking forward to reading what you have to say!

Well i fully under stant the magnatude of the event but it dose not bother me. Dont get me wrong a feel bad for all those famalies that lost loved ones.but we cant bring them back, the best we can do to honor them is to remember them and put that spineless, manipulative and gluttonous man called Bin Laden in to as much pain and anguish as possible. yes thats right i am a vengeful person. we did nothing to diserve that attack.

Great job Ben! What descriptive language you use to describe Bin Laden…at least you let us know how you really feel about him! Awesome job being the FIRST ONE to complete this assignment, too. Do you think that if there is another attack in the U.S, we will have done anything to deserve it this time? Just something to think about. Hopefully one of your classmates comments back to you…

(FYI–next time, watch the spelling though)

I think many people where upset about 9/11. I also believe that we should not give Afganhastan anything because it may help them, but it hurts us. We need the money more then them to take care of our own poor people. I believe thats why we are in poverty. Our president’s policy’s suck. He isn’t very good at his job.

I remember when i got home from school that day and saw it on the news. Then i did not realize how big of tragedy this was. But it did not take long for me to realize what a tragedy it really was. So iguess i have come to realize more about this tragedy since i have gotten older. I do realize how sad of event this is, but because it personaly does not really effect me i do not think about it every year. but i can feel sorry for people who lost family members.

I remember when i was in 4th grade and they locked down the school… it was scary and after that I was always scared that when I saw a low flying plane i thought it was hi-jacked….. i am very upset about what happened on 9/11 and i think it was a horrible tradgedy….. I also think that george bush did the right thing by declaring war with iraq……..

Yes, my view on this tragedy has changed since it occured. When it first happened I did not totally understand the whole situation. In the past few years I have started to understand more of what happened.
colyn // Sep 13th 2007 at 12:35 pm
I don’t think that 9/11 changed me because it really didnt matter to me if it happend or not cause I really didn’t understand what was going on
Tallon // Sep 13th 2007 at 12:36 pm
I remember 911 as a day i was supposed to be sad. I didn’t understand why I was sad at the time. Now that I know what happened I truly do feel upset about it. Ialso understand the war and why it is happening. I wish I would have understood what happened a long time ago.

My view on what happened hasn’t changed to much. I still think we should have nuked them. When it happened I don’t think that I really understood the magnitude at first but after about a week I really started to understand it. thou the persident may suck but he did the right think going to war with them. we can’t just let them get away with it. It is time that they pay for what they did.

hae’ sgeno’neh. Hello! i remember that day, like it happened yesterday. Two days ago, a couple years ago was compelling having the most partriotic teacher, was not easy she cried and that mad me feel awful.I will be honest before the attack I did not know of the twin towers. That day was hard, and it made me feel bad because of the lost loved ones, all we can do is have respect and honor. I think as a nation, we can overcome, we did with any tragic in history.

alot of people died on 9/11. peoples family members and friends were killed and they were just doing there job in the twin towers. i think the weirdest thing is that bush was in the a kindergarden reading to little kids and somebody told him that we were attacked and he sat there for nine minutes and still read to the kids

On 9-11, I remember coming home with the news still on and doing my homework while finally realizing why half of my friends were picked up early that day. I didn’t entirely understand what was going on or how it happened but I do now. Although the attacks did not directly effect me, or my family, I still fear that something like that will happen again and that it will effect me or somebody I care about.

i feel bad for the family
Nicole // Sep 17th 2007 at 9:08 am
When 9/11 happened I really did not understand what was going on. I kinda just lived my life like nothing was going on and that nothing was going to happen. Now I have a little more understanding about it now that my brother went in the Marines this summer. Even thought I know that he is safe for a year ift still scares me.
samanthaTuszynski // Sep 17th 2007 at 1:07 pm
i was scared but i also did not know what was going on at the time so it didn’t relly matter at the time to me. I think every one needs to get over it and start from something better instead of always being stuck in the same situation.

I don’t like what Bin Laden did to all of those people. I agree with Ben that we should put Bin Laden through as much pain as we can. I did not underrstand it at the time but I understand it well enough now. It was a terrible thing that he did and he should have to suffer for it as much if not more so than the families he effected.
Nick Burr // Sep 21st 2007 at 11:24 am
I am not a vengeful person, but i agree with Ben and others when they say that Bin Laden should have to deal with the unbearable pain many Americans have felt since 9/11. I, like Tallon, didnt fully understand what really happened at first until time pasted and we as people reflected on that tragic day. Many were lost physically, but spiritually, all those people will remain in our hearts and prayers.

well now you know how we feel about 9/11 so now its time for you to tell us how you feel on the matter and how it has effected you and how it has changed you.
Shannon // Sep 24th 2007 at 7:53 am
Good point Ben…well, when 9/11 happened, I was student teaching at Frontier High School and I was in the middle of teaching seniors how to write a resume when we were told to turn on the TV. We all watched the towers fall, and I remember thinking that I had never heard the classroom so quiet before. After that, many of the senior boys were commenting that they wanted to join the army. It was when I heard them say that, that I realized that we would actually be at war. I remember thinking that there were children who would come home from school that day and learn that they would never see their mother or father again. The news that effected me the most was that there were schools in the surrounding areas that were keeping the children there until someone came to pick them up, and sadly there were children that did not get picked up. Now that I have children of my own, I feel even more strongly about the possibility of a future attack because the thought of my two boys being hurt or having someone they love hurt is an awful thought to have. I also get very attached to my students, and when I learn that some are going off to serve in the Military, it’s scary. It’s a noble choice to make, but a scary one. So, that’s it. Thanks for asking Ben, and I’m with you on the whole Bin Laden thing!
